Valyrian Steel Swords List
Here is a list of all the swords that use the material from the books and HBO show. Several of these were also possible results on the quiz that you just took.
Blackfyre
Blackfyre is one of the ancestral swords of House Targaryen. It is best known for being wielded by Aegon the Conqueror. The current whereabouts of the sword are currently unknown.
Brightroar
Brightroar is the ancestral sword of House Lannister. The sword was lost many years ago and House Lannister has never been able to find it.
Dark Sister
Dark Sister is one of the ancestral swords of House Targaryen. It is best known for being wielded by Visenya Targaryen and Daemon Targaryen. The current whereabouts of the sword are currently unknown.
Heartsbane
Heartsbane is the ancestral sword of House Tarly. In the books, the sword is in the possession of Lord Randyll Tarly.
In the HBO show, Samwell Tarly steals the sword from his father and gives it to Jorah Mormont to use in Battle of Winterfell. Jordan uses the sword to kill many wights but eventually gets killed.
ICE
Ice is the ancestral greatsword of House Stark. Fans of the both the books and the HBO series should be familiar with this as it belonged to Ned Stark. After Ned Stark’s death, Tywin Lannister melts down the sword to create two blades: Oathkeeper and Widow’s Wail. This means that the blade no longer exists.
Lady Forlorn
Lady Forlorn is the ancestral sword of House Corbray. In the books, Lyn Corbray is in possession of the blade. It was not revealed in the HBO show.
Lamentation
Lamentation is the ancestral sword of House Royce. The current whereabouts of the sword is unknown.
Longclaw
Longclaw is the ancestral sword of House Mormont. In both the books and TV show, the sword is given to Jon Snow from Lord Commander Jeor Mormont. Jon Snow is still in possession of the blade.
Nightfall
Nightfall is the ancestral sword of House Harlaw. In the books, the sword is currently in the possesion of Harras Harlaw. It was not revealed in the HBO show.
Oathkeeper
Oathkeeper is one of two swords that were made from Ice. The sword was given to Jaime Lannister from his father, Tywin Lannister. He ends up giving the sword to Brienne of Tarth in both the TV show and the books.
Orphan-Maker
Orphan-Maker is the ancestral sword of House Roxton. The current whereabouts of the sword is unknown.
Red Rain
Red Rain is the ancestral sword of House Drumm. In the books, the sword is currently wielded by Dunstan Drumm. This blade was not revealed in the HBO show.
Truth
Truth is a sword that was wielded by Moredo Rogare. The current whereabouts of the sword is unknown.
Vigilance
Vigilance is the ancestral sword of House Hightower. The current whereabouts of the sword is unknown.
Widow’s Wail
Widow’s Wale is one of two swords that were made from Ice. The sword was given to King Joffrey Baratheon from his Grandfather, Tywin Lannister. After Joffrey’s death, the sword is passed down to Tommen Baratheon.
